My customer avatar would be an undergraduate student living in an on campus dormitory at the University of Florida. Many of them would probably be first year students who are excited to begin their first year at this university.

What do you have in common with the customer avatar?
-I have a lot in common with my potential customers. My customer avatar is a current or incoming student that s planning to live in dorms next year at the University of Florida. Although I am not living in a dorm next year I am living in one now. I think that since I have so much in common with my customer avatar it was easy for me to recognize this issue.
If you have anything in common with the avatar, do you thin that is a coincidence? Why?
-I do not think it is a coincidence that I have so much in common with my customer avatar because the reason I realized this problem is because I have so much in common with the avatar. If I weren't currently living in a dorm this issue would have never occurred to me.

  1. Madelyn,
I think that you are lucky because you were able to live in the shoes of your avatar and know how they think, however, I think that you could have went a little deeper into like what income level they are at, what gender, what their morals are, and things like that in order to get a little bit of a deeper understanding of who exactly your avatar may be. Overall though, I think that you have a good idea of who your target customer is.

  2. Hi Madelyn! When I was making my customer avatar, I also realized I had much in common with it. I think a lot of our ideas and the problems we see that needs fixing are things that we experience in our own lives so it makes sense that the customer would be similar to us in that they experience the same kind of difficulties.

  3. Hey Madelyn, I think this description is spot on. Typically, anyone living in the dorms is a freshman, so that makes them really easy to identify and calssify. I think its great that you can relate to your target audience. It makes it really easy to see the problem at hand, and you know better than anyone how it can be resolved. Overall, great job on this post.
