University of Florida Dormitory Renovations

Opportunity:
The opportunity for this business idea would be current students, incoming students, and the University of Florida. This change would help current students by giving them a healthy and safe living environment. This will help incoming students by also providing them with a healthy living environment. This change will help the university by attracting more students to live on campus, which will create more revenue for the school. This need was created by students having issues with their living conditions and this will continue on to future students if it is not fixed. This is just an issue on campus and the group of people this effects are students living in on campus dorms.  This could potentially be a huge opportunity for the university and will be an opportunity until the school decides to renovate these buildings.

Innovation:
The actual innovation would be the complete renovation of the outdated dormitories on the University of Florida campus. Since this is such a huge undertaking it would be necessary to do this in steps. For example, a first step could be to change the ac units in some of the older buildings. Also, since this is going to be a very expensive venture it would be more effective to do fundraisers to help with the expenses of this project.

Venture Concept:
Current and incoming students living on campus should not be opposed to this idea because it will be greatly benefiting them. Although, the University of Florida may be opposed due to the expenses that are involved. If the dorms at the university are renovated it not only helps many students, but it also helps improve the school. Modern buildings are going to make the school have a better appeal to not only visitors, but also students who are deciding whether they want to attend the university or not. This is also going to be a huge undertaking so it will be a time consuming process. It will also require the university to hire people to plan, manage, and build these facilities. An exact number of new employees cannot be determined until later in the project, but it will take a large amount of funds to accomplish this task.


Minor Elements:
- The greatest resource the university has would be its location. No other dorm or apartment complex can say that they are located on campus, which is why this is such a great advantage the school has. This advantage will also help generate revenue.
-Once this project is completed it will create revenue for the university for a long time as long as it is maintained. As well as it will have a positive impact on the students living in these facilities.
-In the years to follow the goal would be to have newly renovated dorms that are maintained and kept in good shape, so that many generations of students will have a comfortable and safe place to reside.
